Evaluation of Heavy Metals and Microbial Contamination of Selected Herbal Churna Marketed Formulations

Herbal formulations are popular in India and across the world due to their medicinal properties. Churna is powdered that consumed widely low cost ease of administration. Brahmi Churna, Satavari Jethimadh churna 3 different brand manufacturers were procured from local market. The main objective study determination heavy metals microbiological evaluation as per Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia. Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy was performed for detection metals. Microbial done metal content 7 out 9 samples complies with test Two Shatavari above permissible limit microbial showed all within allowable limits found be safe human consumption. Quality checks should ensure limit.
